Chaos, glorious chaos?

So, this term, I switched to attending a local brick and mortar university instead of attending online at the (my preferred) state university.

I absolutely believe this was the correct decision for me. However, last Friday I had a domestic catastrophe (is there any other way to describe a toilet overflowing while everyone is sleeping?). Luckily, my husband, partner, and love of my life works nights, so he found the lake in the hall shortly after midnight, last Thursday night (yeah, yeah, Friday morning, as it was after midnight).

Well, fast forward a week.

I just got news last night that I was rejected for a scholarship/job that I really, really wanted.

Now, I’m trying to study and stay positive, but there is a handyman fixing my bathroom floor. All I can think is, “if it had only begun last Friday, instead of last Monday, perhaps it would be done by now”.

Instead, I am trying to study and write a paper while listening to the pounding and cracking that the handyman is inflicting on the floor. Perhaps this afternoon will afford me quiet time to study?
