Happy Yule!

Today is the day the world was supposed to end.

I mean, this time it was for certain.

A calendar that most people don’t even know how to read “ran out” today and with that “spectacular” event, life as we knew it was supposed to end.

I don’t know about you, but in an infinitesimal way, for me, life as I knew it did end.

Instead of blindly following tradition, today our family began a new one.

And I reached an important decision.

I have recently split this site and created another. I had not known if I wanted to share its existence with anyone or not. Today I decided to take that risk.

The scholastic site is Procatpdx.wordpress.com

There.

Whew!

What a relief. It’s done. I feel better. Now I can look forward to the rest of the holiday break as it was meant to be enjoyed: as a respite before the hectic days of the following term begin. At least, that’s this academic’s view of the true reason for the season.

🙂
